PRODUCTION SPICE - MATERIAL HANDLER ASSOCIATEJob Summary:The Material Handler will transport required packaging to and from production lines and warehouse areas using a pallet jack. Will also be responsible to dump product components into feed hoppers, hang supersacks and use the RF Scanner to make product transfers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Continuously and repeatedly load packaging and raw materials.Make product changeover and clean equipment in use.Understand scheduling and can adequately perform in the absence of the crew leader.Ability to learn and use the RF Scanner and computer system to record production and inventory transfers.Be responsible for the quality and quantity of production daily.Navigate computer system to locate items and locations and to pull item(s) as required.Follow detailed procedures and complete paperwork accurately to ensure safe, consistent, and quality product.
Accurately complete lot production formActively promote safety and identify unsafe actions and conditions.Replenish production line(s) by operating a forklift, sac hoist and /or pallet jack in a safe manner.Know basic math and mathematically calculate production used in production quantities.Ability to learn and understand People SoftAbility to accurately add and subtract.Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead.

Essential Physical Demands
Ability to frequently walk throughout the production area and stand for extended periods of time.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, packaging, and product components repeatedly up to 30lbs unassisted during the workday.Ability to safely operate or maneuver pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, and related material-handling equipment as required.Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipment.Ability to use hands and arms for grasping, handling, scanning, and completing paperwork.
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalency
1-2 years of experience in a related field
