What you will do::
The Production Specialist supports manufacturing and production operations by assisting in the cutting, assembly, and handling of building materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are produced accurately, safely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
- Produce building products according to work orders, layouts, and specifications
- Read and interpret production paperwork, blueprints, and measuring tools to ensure accuracy
- Measure, mark, position, and fasten materials using hand and power tools
- Inspect materials and completed products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Identify and remove damaged or non-conforming materials
- Set up workstations, tools, and materials for production runs
- Move completed products to staging or designated production areas
- Perform quality checks and support changeovers as needed during production
- Maintain awareness of production schedules and workflow priorities
- Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational procedures
- Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concerns
- Operate equipment and machinery safely and responsibly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals
- Communicate production issues, material shortages, or quality concerns promptly
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous manufacturing, production, construction, carpentry, warehouse, or related experience is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with work orders, blueprints, layouts, or technical drawings is a plus
- Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, or production equipment is a plus
- Experience within truss, building components, millwork, or other building-products manufacturing is a plus
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification is a plus
Work Environment and Requirements
- Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and production environment
- Frequent exposure to machinery, moving equipment, dust, noise, vibration, and varying temperatures
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to regularly lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance or mechanical equipment used for heavier materials
- Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment after appropriate training
- Required PPE must be worn in designated production areas
- Overtime, weekends, or extended hours may be required based on production schedules
