Job Details

The Production Shift Supervisor oversees daily production floor operations during their assigned shift, making sure production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met or exceeded. This is a hands-on, on-site leadership role reporting to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement daily production priorities; assign and monitor staff
• Supervise, train, schedule, and assign employees; monitor performance and administer discipline; play a key role in performance evaluations with the Production Manager
• Assist with production line setups and operate lines when required
• Monitor production quality and volume, addressing issues as they occur
• Alert the quality team when any part may be out of spec
• Repair equipment and notify maintenance as needed
• Communicate, interpret, promote, and ensure compliance with all company policies
• Keep the Production Manager informed on production, inventory, staffing, and line issues; solve problems both independently and as a team
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
• Ensure all required supplies are available
• Serve on the plant management team and help develop policies and procedures

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of plastics manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated mechanical and maintenance skills
• Basic math skills
• Leadership experience preferred
• Forklift certified, or willing to become certified
• Computer skills, including MS Office Suite
• Ability to read work orders, specification sheets, and measuring equipment accurately

Working Environment:
Plant conditions with significant standing, walking, heavy lifting, and climbing. Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions requiring proper PPE. Plant and warehouse work includes exposure to dust, noise, and seasonal temperatures approaching 115 degrees.
