Production Sheet Metal Fabrication (CNC) Programmer – 1st ShiftJob Type: Full-Time
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Sheet Metal Fabrication (CNC) Programmer to join our growing manufacturing team.This position will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing CNC programs for sheet metal fabrication equipment to support efficient, accurate, and high-quality production. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a production environment, strong technical and organizational skills, and a solid understanding of sheet metal cutting and bending processes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with new CNC equipment and software in a new manufacturing facility while helping improve production processes, efficiency, and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, manage, and optimize CNC programs for sheet metal fabrication
- Review production requirements, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate programs
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency, accuracy, and manufacturability
- Create, modify, and maintain production documentation using Windows and Microsoft Office
- Maintain organized records of CNC programs and related documentation
- Troubleshoot programming issues and make necessary adjustments to minimize production downtime
- Provide clear instructions and communicate program updates to production personnel
- Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce material waste
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production environment
- Assist with the implementation and optimization of new equipment and programming systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
CNC Equipment & SoftwareThe new facility is expected to have the following equipment operational in November:
- Mitsubishi 6K Laser with Automated Loading – Diamond Fab software
- Mitsubishi Diamond Press Brake with ATC – Diamond Fab software
- Salvagnini Panel Bender – Streambend software
- Amada Vipros Turret Punch – Striker programming software
- Copper Bending Equipment – Equipment to be determined
Qualifications & Skills- Experience programming CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, cutting, and bending processes
- Familiarity with CNC programming and production processes
- Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor preferred
- Proficiency with Windows 10 or newer
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, including:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Outlook
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Education & Experience- Associate’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Sheet metal fabrication experience strongly preferred
- Background in production engineering or a related field preferred
