American Buildings Company (a Nucor division) is seeking a Production Scheduler in El Paso, IL to oversee manufacturing schedules, component distributions, and departmental workflow. This role is responsible for processing blueprints and generating efficient production and routing schedules across various manufacturing departments. Key requirements include experience reading blueprints, background with AI, coding, or software programming, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range: $30.45 – $38.86 per hour
Annual bonus eligibility (including Return on Assets and Profit Sharing programs)

Job Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints and tallies to originate requisitions, optimize material usage, and minimize drop
Develop, maintain, and distribute production, routing, and fabrication schedules across all plant departments
Input cold-formed member specifications into computer systems and generate project part tags via SICM
Process, route, and distribute orders, addendums, and component requests to purlin, panel, and flashing departments
Lead production and deliverables meetings, communicate with cross-functional teams, and handle routine clerical duties or administrative coverage
Prepare MBMA reports, bonus tracking, piece counts, and safety/production trend documentation
Job Requirements
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
Hands-on experience with AI, coding, or software system programming
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong organizational, planning, multi-tasking, communication, and decision-making skills
Preferred: Manufacturing background and familiarity with BOMs, SICM, PITTS, Cold Form Release, and Weld Inspection software
