    Position Overview

    Stand-By Personnel is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join a busy manufacturing operation in the Tulsa area. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently, on time, and according to established quality requirements.

    The ideal candidate has previous scheduling, planning, or manufacturing experience and is comfortable balancing changing production priorities while coordinating with Operations, Purchasing, Production, and Management. Strong Excel skills, organization, and communication are essential for success in this role.

    Required Experience & Skills

    • Previous production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing experience
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and scheduling accuracy
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments
    • Ability to adapt quickly when production priorities or customer requirements change

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer delivery requirements
    • Coordinate workflow between departments to support efficient production
    • Ensure materials, labor, and equipment are available when required
    • Monitor production progress against established schedules
    • Adjust schedules when delays, material shortages, equipment issues, or changes in demand occur
    • Communicate production priorities and schedule changes to appropriate departments
    • Track work orders throughout the manufacturing process
    • Ensure jobs are released to production according to schedule
    • Review inventory levels and material availability before scheduling production
    • Assist with capacity planning and resource allocation
    • Identify potential scheduling conflicts before they impact customer deadlines
    • Develop solutions to minimize production delays and downtime
    • Maintain accurate production reports, schedules, and planning records
    • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
    • Perform additional scheduling and production-planning duties as assigned

    Production Planning & Coordination

    • Coordinate production requirements with Operations and manufacturing personnel
    • Work with Purchasing regarding material availability and shortages
    • Communicate schedule priorities to production teams and management
    • Monitor capacity and available production resources
    • Balance customer requirements against manufacturing capabilities
    • Identify bottlenecks and scheduling constraints
    • Adjust production priorities when operational conditions change
    • Help maintain effective communication between departments
    • Support on-time completion and delivery of customer orders

    Inventory & Material Planning

    • Review inventory levels before releasing jobs to production
    • Verify required materials are available to support scheduled work
    • Communicate potential material shortages to Purchasing and Production
    • Help coordinate material requirements with production schedules
    • Support inventory control and production forecasting activities
    • Assist with minimizing production interruptions caused by material availability

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Manufacturing or industrial production scheduling experience
    • Experience with ERP, MRP, or production planning systems
    • Inventory control experience
    • Production forecasting experience
    • Capacity planning and resource allocation experience
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Experience tracking manufacturing work orders
    • Supply chain or purchasing coordination experience
    • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field
