Production Planning Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand and plant capacity.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, maintenance, and customer service to ensure materials and resources are available.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to account for downtime, material shortages, or changing priorities.
• Maintain work orders, inventory transactions, BOMs, and production data within an ERP/MRP system.
• Analyze production metrics, inventory levels, and capacity to identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
• Create reports using Excel to support production planning and operational decision-making.
• Participate in daily production meetings and collaborate across departments to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to production planning, scheduling, materials, production control, or supply chain.
• Experience using an ERP/MRP system such as SAP, Epicor, Oracle, JD Edwards, Infor, IFS, or similar.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis preferred).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting production schedules, material planning, inventory control, or manufacturing operations is highly preferred.
