Description

Nucor is seeking a Production Planner for its NIPG Midwest division in Waterloo, IN. This role is responsible for processing, scheduling, and managing work orders based on equipment, material, machine, and labor capacities. Key qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of experience with Nucor or familiar production processes/scheduling, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Production Scheduling & Management: Process and schedule work orders according to departmental guidelines, analyze and manage schedules based on capacity, and communicate required schedule changes across engineering, detailing, project coordination, purchasing, and shipping.
  • Process Facilitation & Reporting: Lead scheduling efforts, accurately report production time and material usage, and manage required documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Safety: Negotiate lead times with commercial and operational teams and demonstrate active leadership in upholding safety policies and standards at all times.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Education & Core Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, paired with at least 2 years of experience at Nucor or in manufacturing production processes and scheduling.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
