Northern Gear & Machining is a family-owned, precision CNC machining manufacturer serving major OEM customers as a Tier 1 supplier of high-quality machined components and assemblies. We are looking for a Production Planner / Scheduler to join our team.This role is responsible for creating, releasing, and monitoring work orders based on customer demand and forecasts. The right candidate will work closely with Production and other departments to develop and maintain an effective production schedule, communicate with customers regarding delivery timing, and help ensure we consistently meet customer expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesEnter customer orders accurately and timelyLaunch work orders to ProductionCoordinate scheduling with outside vendorsWork with Production to align schedules, shifts, and workforce coverage with customer needsMonitor work visually in the shop to determine status and quality during the day.Monitor work order status throughout the shopAnalyze customer demand data and forecast future requirementsPrepare and submit Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs)Provide customers with status updates and delivery communicationCollaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure product requirements are metQualifications and SkillsPractical experience in production planning, materials planning, forecasting, and inventory controlStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience using MRP/ERP systemsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExtensive experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively with internal departments, customers, and vendorsWhy Join Northern Gear & Machining?Family-owned company with a team-oriented culturePrecision machining environment serving major OEM customersOpportunity to play a key role in customer satisfaction and production flowStable manufacturing environment with growth opportunitySalary starts at $60,000 annually and up, dependent on experience.1st Shift Monday - Friday
