    Overview

    We are seeking a Production Planner with strong ERP/MRP expertise to support downstream production planning and material flow operations. This role combines elements of planning, purchasing, and production coordination to ensure materials are available, schedules are met, and operations run efficiently.

    This is a fully onsite role ideal for candidates with a strong analytical mindset, experience in SAP/ERP systems, and a background in supply chain or manufacturing environments.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage daily MRP exception messages (expedite, push-out, cancel, past due)
    • Plan and ensure smooth material flow between suppliers and the plant
    • Ensure material availability to support production schedules
    • Expedite purchase orders and manage supplier communication during shortages
    • Conduct monthly vendor forecast reviews and open order reviews with suppliers
    • Update purchase orders and delivery timelines in SAP
    • Review and adjust MRP parameters including safety stock, lot sizes, lead times, and replenishment strategies
    • Support and interface with production schedulers and master production planners
    • Follow up on SAP planning order exceptions and ensure timely resolution
    • Create and publish daily production plans
    • Monitor production order status and address any barriers to execution
    • Identify and track missing components and coordinate with upstream teams to resolve gaps
    • Release and prepare production orders, ensuring proper sequencing and readiness
    • Track and improve production schedule attainment

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
    • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
    • Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and materials management
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
    • Experience reviewing and optimizing planning parameters and processes

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
    • Hands-on experience with SAP production planning modules
    • Knowledge of replenishment strategies such as Kanban, ROP, or MRP
    • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify efficiency opportunities
