Our client is looking to hire a production planner for their team in McConnelsville, Ohio! Our client is a leader in developing and manufacturing high-precision, high-strength components for a wide range of industries.
The production planner would be responsible for creating and maintaining the production plan while balancing capacity, material flow, customer requirements, and on-time delivery.
Qualified candidates would have experience with SAP, scheduling, forecasting, value steam mapping, and a background in manufacturing planning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining a 4-6 week production plan using SAP, Excel, and applicable planning tools.
- Balancing production utilization, material flow, capacity, and on-time delivery.
- Setting production priorities based on customer demand, material availability, capacity, and delivery requirements.
- Maintaining production planning data, priority lists, production plan files, and SAP schedules.
- Reviewing machine capacities, OEE, bottlenecks, production rates, and process constraints.
- Distributing production schedules and work orders to the relevant departments.
- Monitoring production progress, inventory levels, material usage, and delays.
- Revising production schedules due to material shortages, machine or labor constraints, design changes, backlogs, or customer-priority changes.
- Coordinating with Customer Service regarding customer releases and delivery requirements.
- Preparing pack plans and confirming shipping plans for finished products.
- Reviewing and closing production orders or job orders.
- Supporting Value Stream Mapping, Lean initiatives, and continuous-improvement activities.
- Preparing production status reports and documenting delays, changes, and difficulties.
