Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Production Planner for a fabrication/manufacturing company in Gibbon, MN. In this role, you’ll coordinate production schedules, optimize workflow, and ensure on-time completion of work orders in a fast-paced shop environment. What You’ll Do as a Production Planner:
  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for fabrication operations
  • Review work orders and material availability to prioritize production tasks
  • Utilize ERP systems (JobBOSS preferred) to manage and track jobs and production status
  • Monitor production progress and resolve delays, bottlenecks, or capacity constraints
  • Coordinate with inventory and shop floor teams to ensure materials meet production timelines
  • Communicate schedule updates with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, and customer service
  • Analyze production data to improve scheduling accuracy, lead times, and throughput

What You Need to Bring to the Production Planner Role:
  • 2–5+ years of production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination experience
  • Experience using ERP systems for production planning (JobBOSS preferred)
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes (cutting, welding, machining, assembly, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
