Production Planner - $28-$32/hr
Schedule: 6am-4:30 pm
Location: Asheville NC

The Role

Our client, a leading manufacturing facility, is seeking a Production Planner to develop daily and weekly production schedules that ensure customer requirements are met on time and to quality standards. This role is directly responsible for analyzing material requirements, managing inventory levels, and maintaining optimal capacity across manufacturing and assembly operations.

What You Will Do

  • Release and monitor work orders for manufacturing and assembly departments to satisfy production requirements.

  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems for accurate routing, job release, data reporting, and reconciliation of inventory cycle counts.

  • Coordinate with department leads to track production status, address bottlenecks, and resolve schedule delays.

  • Generate and distribute daily production control reports, including WIP status, backlogs, and material shortages.

  • Review open sales orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to verify material availability and plant capacity prior to job release.

  • Serve as a key liaison for Commercial, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Receiving teams to manage inventory flow.

  • Proactively identify and escalate critical material or schedule constraints to key stakeholders.

  • Support additional operational duties as assigned by leadership.

What You Will Bring

  • Associate degree preferred (not required).

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production control environment working with scheduling and supply chain parameters.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

  • Clear understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, manufacturing processes, and technical drawings.

  • Strong organizational, time-management, detail orientation, and cross-departmental communication skills.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $28.00 - $32.00 Per Hour
