ATI Millersburg Is seeking a Production Planner to join our team. This position is part of the Specialty Alloys and Components business unit based In Albany, Oregon and reports to the Director of Supply Chain.

This is a day shift position and will be on site with no option for remote work.

The Production Planner is responsible for ensuring the flow of material to and through their assigned Area Business Teams (ABT). This role ensures alignment between manufacturing plans and shipment plans, while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Area Business Engineer (ABE) to set the production plan based on customer requirements, rescheduling material flow based on feedback from the ABE. Manages key performance indicators to compare actual production performance against the established standards (Production to Plan, PTP).
  • Works closely with Planning Managers to ensure proper order management (new orders, late line recovery, quality issues requiring replanning, batch assignment, and changes in operations capability) and demand does not exceed capacity - ultimately translating requirements into an operations production plan.
  • Works closely with the Sales Team as the integral communication point between operations and our customers. Weekly connections to review changes in production and dates required.
  • Overseeing the production process to ensure that it adheres to the schedule and meets quality standards.
  • Identifying potential bottlenecks, delays, or issues in the production process and implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
  • Co-ordinates the production planning with maintenance planning and scheduling needs.

  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on demand vs. capacity analysis in 0-3 month timeframe, on time delivery, and inventory.
  • Participating in or leading initiatives to improve production planning processes, such as improving standard work process, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma projects.
