    We are seeking a skilled Production Operator III Lead to join our team here in Grand Rapids. The Production Operator III Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

    What Will You Get To Do:

    • Demonstrate competency and willingness to operate multiple areas
    • Responsible for training Production Operator I’s, Operator II’s and transfers
    • Participate in Kaizen events, problem solving teams and improvement projects as available
    • Ensure data collection is accurate and complete
    • Communicate with Planning, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supervision, with emphasis on communication and schedule attainment
    • Respond to Machine Errors and resolve issues, perform advanced functions with specialized equipment.
    • Responsible for making decisions on team member assignments and responsibilities, moving team to productive areas during downtime periods
    • Responsible for improving workplace organization & 5S initiatives
    • Responsible for solving complex quality issues, and containing product within department
    • Continuous improvement leader and initiates continuous improvement ideas
    • Ensures safe work environment, proficient in advanced safety procedures such as lockout etc.
    • Other duties as assigned

    What Will You Bring:

    • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge in an ERP system like Oracle
    • Highly analytical with strong troubleshooting skills, capable of diagnosing and correcting complex faults and downtime; Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment
    • Ability to communicate effectively with team and with individuals at all levels
