Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Production Operator I for a Contract job with a client in Henrietta, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronics assembly, soldering, and production manufacturing environments, along with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Rate Range: $20/hour to $23/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Production Operator I Job Responsibilities Include:

• Assemble small to medium-sized electronic and mechanical components while performing fitting, alignment, adjustment, and precision assembly activities in accordance with established work instructions.

• Perform soldering, de-soldering, and rework activities on printed circuit boards and assemblies while ensuring compliance with quality and workmanship standards.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, fixtures, gauges, and production equipment to support assembly, testing, and manufacturing operations.

• Inspect, verify, and test completed assemblies using measuring and test equipment to ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality requirements.

• Troubleshoot and repair sub-assemblies and major assemblies by identifying defects, correcting issues, and ensuring products function as designed.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

• A minimum of three years of experience in electronics assembly, electromechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related production environment.

• Demonstrated experience performing soldering, de-soldering, and rework activities on printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies.

• Experience using measuring and testing equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, voltmeters, and other inspection tools.

• Working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, and manufacturing processes within a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications are highly desirable.

• Experience performing SMT assembly, electronic component rework, and advanced soldering techniques within electronics manufacturing environments.

• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, optical, and electronic assembly operations involving precision components.

• Experience supporting quality inspections, testing procedures, and verification activities for electronic products and assemblies.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
