Description

Job Title: Production Operator (Film Coating)
Location: Rochester, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a Production Operator – Film Coating to support film coating and manufacturing operations within a regulated production environment in Rochester, NY. This direct hire opportunity is responsible for operating production equipment, assembling components, performing quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-focused manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate:

  • $20.75 – $23.38/Hour (Based On Exp.)

Shift:

  • Rotating A/B Schedule
    • Flexible schedule required based on business needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor equipment used in film coating and manufacturing processes
  • Assemble, prepare, and inspect components required for production
  • Perform visual and basic quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Follow all SOPs, cGMP, OSHA, FDA, and ISO regulations
  • Complete production documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Utilize computer systems to access and maintain production records
  • Handle and dispose of scrap materials and hazardous waste according to safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to support production goals
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process development initiatives
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of work experience with manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures
  • Team-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with SAP or quality systems preferred
  • Knowledge of GMP/ISO environments preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing/lab environment with exposure to chemicals and biological materials
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand, walk, or perform repetitive tasks for extended periods (up to 75% of shift)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Requires manual dexterity and repetitive hand motions
  • Must follow all PPE, safety, and workplace compliance requirements
