Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Extractor Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently extracting modules while maintaining a consistent flow of production. WHAT YOU WILL DO Demonstrate full knowledge of extractor operations, including use of the HMI operator panelMaintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the extractor pit areaSafely and accurately extract modules using the overhead craneExecute air procedures to manually remove mandrels from modulesMonitor walking beams to ensure proper movement and successful mandrel transferReport all equipment-related issues promptly to the Production SupervisorMaintain appropriate inventory levels of materials required to perform job dutiesSupport the training and cross-training of production team membersParticipating in continuous improvement initiativesComply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements by maintaining a clean, safe work environment and adhering to all company policies, as well as Provincial and Federal regulationsPerform other duties as assignedWHAT YOU BRINGHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment; prior machine operation experience preferredOverhead Crane Certification is required (crane extraction) Physical RequirementsThe physical requirements listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, and tools.Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and occasional kneeling or crouching, as required.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in the assigned work environment.
