    Description

    We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Production Operator to support the manufacturing and packaging of high-quality food products. In this role, you will operate and monitor production equipment, assist with batching and packaging, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure all products meet safety and quality standards.

    The ideal candidate is attentive to detail, comfortable working in cold manufacturing environments, and able to perform physically demanding tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform daily production activities and operate equipment under the guidance of a supervisor.
    • Support the batching, manufacturing, and packaging of frozen and shelf-stable food products.
    • Assemble, inspect, and prepare machinery for daily production according to operating specifications.
    • Prepare workstations, gather the necessary tools, and obtain daily batch sheets from leads or supervisors.
    • Monitor equipment and ensure it remains clean, safe, and in good working condition.
    • Prepare machinery and tools for sanitation and assist with equipment breakdown and cleaning.
    • Verify that ingredients meet customer specifications and applicable government regulations.
    • Follow all food safety policies, safety procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by sweeping, removing trash, and completing other assigned sanitation duties.
    • Identify and immediately report unsafe conditions or operating issues to a supervisor.
    • Recommend and support process improvements that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and production capacity.
    • Complete additional duties and supervisor requests accurately and promptly.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to follow workplace safety rules, food safety guidelines, and GMPs.
    • Positive attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork, cooperation, and respect.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Punctual, dependable, and responsible.
    • Flexibility to work different shifts based on production requirements.

    Physical Requirements and Work Environment

    • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
    • Ability to regularly step, balance, crouch, stoop, kneel, squat, bend, reach above the shoulders, and perform other movements required to complete assigned tasks.
    • Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds.
    • Ability to occasionally climb stairs or ladders.
    • Willingness to work in production, warehouse, refrigerated, frozen-storage, pilot-plant, and office environments.
    • Ability to tolerate consistently cold temperatures ranging from approximately -10°F to -40°F, as well as loud noises, odors, dust, heavy employee traffic, and varying room temperatures.
    • Availability to work flexible schedules and shifts as required.
