Description

Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a production operator position at a manufacturing company in Bethel CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.

The production operator is responsible for the set up and operation of equipment which blends, mixes, packages and transports liquid or dry chemicals that comprise products.

The hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20 an hour.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up, start and run all machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures and ISO standards
  • Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specification and insert into machinery, or ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and insert pre-blended materials into machinery
  • Monitor production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues
  • Operate machinery to mix, extrude/discharge or handle materials according to operating procedures
  • Examine materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards
  • Take samples of materials to lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed
  • Refers issues/problems to production lead or production/shift supervisor for disposition
  • Perform all required machine cleaning
  • Completes and maintain all required system inputs/transactions; responsible for data integrity
  • Document work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.
  • Participate in training, retraining and continual improvement processes and methods
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Job Requirements:
  • Manufacturing and machine operating experience
  • Experience operating machines to blend and mix materials
  • Experience troubleshooting machines
  • Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including lifting and/or move up to 55 lbs. and occasionally handle up to 250 lbs.
  • Able to work while wearing PPE, such as safety glasses, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass pre-employment screenings
