Location: Corona, CA Shift: First Shift | 5:30 AM - 3:00 PM Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt Compensation: $75,000-$100,000 annually (DOE) Reports To: VP of Operations
Role Overview
The Production Manager leads first-shift manufacturing and packaging operations in a fast-paced environment. This hands-on role oversees multiple production lines and drives safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. The position requires a strong floor presence (approximately 85%) with remaining responsibilities focused on administrative and performance tracking activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily manufacturing and packaging operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and financial targets
Maintain a strong production floor presence to identify inefficiencies and implement real-time corrective actions
Drive performance metrics including OTD, OEE, throughput, downtime, labor efficiency, and margin performance
Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction)
Partner with planning and scheduling teams to support on-time delivery and capacity planning
Coach, develop, and manage production leads and operators
Manage labor utilization, timekeeping, overtime, and staffing needs
Track KPIs and support reporting and performance reviews
Support equipment maintenance and ensure clean, audit-ready production areas
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
Experience managing multiple production or assembly lines
Hands-on experience with gravity filling and rotary filling equipment
Assembly line experience, preferably within bottling or plastics manufacturing
Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
ERP and production reporting experience
Bilingual in Spanish (read and write) required
Preferred Experience
Lean or Six Sigma certification
Packaging, food manufacturing, consumer goods, or high-speed production environments
Budgeting and cost management experience
Physical Requirements
Extended periods of standing and walking on the production floor
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
