A well-established manufacturer of pre-engineered products for the water, agricultural, and industrial markets is hiring a Production Manager to run second-shift operations at its facility in Southeast KS. This is a hands-on floor leadership role: you own daily output, safety, quality, and the performance of the hourly team across your shift. You'll set priorities against the schedule, remove bottlenecks in real time, and coordinate with maintenance, quality, and procurement to keep product moving. Strong performers here move production numbers, cut waste, and build a shift crew that runs clean and safe without being micromanaged.
- Anticipated $80K-$90K, based on experience

Overview
- Own second-shift production output, hitting daily and weekly volume and on-time targets
- Lead, direct, and develop the hourly production team through the shift
- Enforce a safe, accident-free floor and drive safety accountability
- Hold quality standards and reduce nonconformance, scrap, and rework
- Set and adjust production priorities as equipment, materials, or orders shift
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and procurement to protect throughput
- Read production, quality, and maintenance reports and act on the root cause
- Drive continuous improvement in labor, equipment, and facility utilization
Preferred Skills / Experiences
- Associate degree or two-year technical school preferred; equivalent floor experience considered
- Prior production supervision or management experience in a manufacturing plant
- Comfortable leading hourly teams on an off-shift with limited overhead support
- Able to read specifications, blueprints, and job orders
- Track record improving safety, quality, throughput, or cost on a production floor
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; comfortable with production/ERP reporting
- Willing and able to work second shift long-term
