Food Manufacturer is hiring for a Manufacturing/Production Manager role!
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production processes. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring that production goals are met on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. - Oversee Production Operations: Manage and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient operations and meet production schedules.
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead, mentor, and develop production teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety. Provide training and development opportunities for staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Collaborate with the planning and procurement teams to develop production schedules, allocate resources, and optimize workflow to meet customer demand.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain quality control procedures and conduct regular product inspections.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity. Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA guidelines and company health and safety policies. Conduct regular safety training and inspections.
- Inventory & Resource Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure adequate supplies without overstocking. Work closely with the supply chain team to minimize production downtime.
- Cost Control: Manage production budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, key metrics, and any issues or challenges to senior management. Use data analysis to drive decision-making and improvements.

Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing teams, driving operational improvements, and implementing quality control measures.
- Knowledge of industry regulations (FDA, USDA, etc.) and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in production management software and MS Office Suite.
- Experience in Safety practices.
Compensation range is $150k - $175k base, Bonus and Benefits!
