Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to provide leadership and oversight of manufacturing operations within a medical device production environment. This role is responsible for achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while driving process improvement and developing a strong Lean manufacturing culture.

Responsibilities
  • Provide overall cell leadership to achieve goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Direct process improvement programs and manufacturing process excellence.
  • Lead teams in achieving process improvement, quality, and cost-reduction objectives.
  • Communicate key business and customer issues to employees.
  • Direct production planning and manufacturing activities with support from Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams.
  • Ensure labor standards, quality requirements, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Ensure employees comply with company, customer, and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Promote Lean manufacturing principles and develop a sustainable Lean culture.
  • Own visual performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership to team members.
  • Structure the organization and staffing to accomplish business objectives.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, counseling, and career development support to employees.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated medical device production management experience required.
  • Experience with Class III implantable device manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with IQMS ERP preferred.
  • Ability to present to customers.
  • Ability to drive internal processes and coordinate resources within a matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 10 15 years of experience preferred in complex electromechanical product manufacturing.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a medical device manufacturing environment, preferably 10 years.
  • Cleanroom and open manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong Lean manufacturing, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of production and inventory control and standard cost systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
