Summary:

 

This role is responsible for overseeing the direction and performance of a key operational area, ensuring strong output, efficiency, and team effectiveness. The position focuses on optimizing production processes, supporting strategic initiatives, and maintaining alignment with organizational goals.

The manager is accountable for improving operational workflows, enhancing productivity, and ensuring consistent execution across the department. This includes identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing solutions that drive measurable performance gains.

In addition, the role supports financial planning activities by contributing to operating budgets and evaluating investment needs related to equipment and process improvements. Ensuring adherence to internal standards, procedures, and policies is a critical component of this position.

Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring production performance, identifying deviations, and initiating appropriate corrective actions. The role also emphasizes maintaining a safe working environment and reinforcing compliance with established safety practices.

Staying informed on current industry trends and operational best practices is expected, with the goal of continuously improving efficiency and effectiveness across the function.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within manufacturing, operations, or a similar environment
  • Strong understanding of core business principles such as planning, budgeting, and resource management
  • Familiarity with production systems, equipment, and operational processes
  • Working knowledge of safety, quality, inventory, and productivity standards
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and systems
  • Ability to lead teams effectively, foster accountability, and drive results
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience in operations or manufacturing

Preferred Background:

  • Experience with structured process improvement methodologies in a production setting
