Role OverviewThe Production Manager oversees the productivity and safety operation of assembly lines, planning and managing short and long-term objectives for assembly production and providing capacity and labor planning. This role will work for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. (MNAe).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)Plan short and long-term objectives for the Production department divisionProvide capacity and labor planning for all manufacturing departmentsCoordinate continuous improvement teams to achieve division goals in productivity improvements, quality improvements, and safety goalsCoordinate corrective action planning to ensure effective root cause analysis and proper implementation of improvement methodsTeach continuous improvement philosophy through monthly trainingProvide conflict resolution for and coach Team MembersEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental goalsEnsure departmental compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety rulesOversee and provide counseling on proper progressive discipline per company policiesInitiate reporting systems to monitor department performanceMinimize overtime of all assigned Team MembersPlan and conduct continuous improvement training of supervisory personnelMaintain personnel headcount according to the business planConduct annual evaluations (MBO) of supervisory personnelFollow and promote safety in the workplace, including attendance at safety meetings as well as conducting safety meetings when necessaryEnsure proper management of key reports KPI, general reporting, etc. are completed on time and accurateEnsure production lines are managed and achieve standard procedures for line operations, efficiencies, and shipping/warehouse management accordinglyAble to learn and utilize key software and systems, such as MES, SAP, payroll, etc.All other duties as assignedAUTHORITY & SCOPEThis role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility.
