Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Production Manager at FASTSIGNS Aiken. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of management experience, with exposure to sign and vinyl production, graphic design, or printing as a significant advantage. The chosen candidate will be able to support the team as a working manager and fill in as needed to complete various production tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day production operations.
- Ensure production schedules are met, and quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure that the FASTSIGNS process is followed.
- Track WIP and projects utilizing our point of sale software system.
- Supervise and lead a team of production staff, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflow and optimize production processes.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate supplies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Interview and hire additional staff as needed.
- Complete periodic performance reviews with existing staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role.
- Previous experience in sign and vinyl production, graphic design, or printing is a significant plus.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and delegate tasks to staff as needed.
Travel:
- Chosen candidate must complete Production Manager Boot Camp in Carrolton, TX within 6 months of hire date.
- Local travel in the Aiken / Augusta area is occasionally required to supervise installations and visit clients.
- Overnight travel may be required to attend training, conventions, or trade shows. Usually once per year.
- Total travel time is less than 5%.
