The University of Alaska Anchorage Copy & Print Center is seeking our next Production Management & Customer Service Specialist to join the team! The Copy & Print Center is part of UAA General Support Services (a unit within Facilities & Campus Services). The Production Management & Customer Service Specialist is the first point of contact for customers, providing quotes, entering job tickets into the print management software, processing payments taken at the register, communicating and coordinating jobs with the production technicians and graphic designer and reports directly to the Document Services Supervisor. This is a front desk, customer service focused position and will interact daily with customers via phone and email related to job requests and in-person pick up of jobs by customers.
Individuals with a strong customer service focus and positive, team-oriented demeanor will thrive in this role. The successful candidate will be highly dependable, value timeliness, have a strong attention to detail, and possess the ability to learn new software and process new information quickly. They will be effective in interpreting and adhering to policies and procedures while also seeking out and recommending efficiencies and improvements as appropriate. It is vital that the individual has strong professional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to perform with tact and diplomacy. It is vital that they are able to perform well as a member of a diverse team of individuals, while also being able to complete tasks independently.
Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic desktop publishing software. Cash handling and reconciliation skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
One year minimum relevant related experience involving customer service is required. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Alaska Driver's License must meet and maintain UA safe driver verification criteria
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 75, based on education and experience.
