We are in search of a dedicated professional to join our team on the second shift in our dynamic manufacturing environment. This position involves setting up and operating a mix of CNC and traditional machines to support our production goals. You'll engage with various materials and components, requiring innovative setups for unique custom projects.
**Responsibilities:**
- Analyze detailed blueprints, sketches, and specifications to establish operation sequences and machinery setup requirements.
- Precisely measure and layout reference points on materials or workpieces.
- Secure and adjust holding fixtures, cutting tools, and accessories on milling, lathing, and drilling machines.
- Configure speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting depths, or input/edit machine control programs.
- Monitor machine operations to identify issues or deviations and execute necessary adjustments.
- Conduct verification processes on finished components and perform trial runs to ensure accuracy of settings.
- Assemble components into complete units and check alignment against specifications.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, production teams, and programmers to troubleshoot machining or assembly challenges.
- Fabricate jigs and fixtures to enhance drilling, milling, and turning tasks.
- Conduct thorough reviews of engineering, sales, and manufacturing documentation to ensure quality standards are met and communicate any inaccuracies.
- Uphold and drive continuous improvement through 5S, quality, and safety protocols.
**Qualifications:**
- Associate’s degree or completed apprenticeship in Machine/Tool and Die Technology, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Skilled in both CNC and conventional equipment setup and operation.
- 3–5 years within a manufacturing environment, emphasizing quality.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and effective communication skills.
