Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Production Lead to support second-shift manufacturing operations in Miami, OK. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this leadership position is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety goals are achieved, and providing guidance and support to production employees.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing experience who can motivate a team, coordinate production activities, and maintain efficient operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Required Experience & Skills
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a leadership role
Minimum 1 year of forklift experience preferred
Forklift certification required
Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and production processes
Excellent mechanical, mathematical, and analytical aptitude
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead daily production activities to achieve productivity, quality, and schedule goals
Coordinate production staffing and work rotations based on production demands and employee training needs
Monitor machinery and equipment for proper operation and respond to malfunctions as needed
Safely start and stop equipment while following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Perform production duties and provide coverage for employee breaks, absences, and staffing needs
Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching, cross-training, and skill development
Lead daily housekeeping efforts to maintain a clean and organized production environment
Promote a strong safety culture through Servant Leadership principles and positive employee engagement
Reinforce company policies, quality standards, and safe work practices
Serve as backup to the Production Supervisor when required
Assist with additional production and operational duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience leading manufacturing teams
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Experience operating multiple types of production equipment
Strong collaboration and conflict-resolution skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive movement throughout the shift
Ability to safely operate forklifts and manufacturing equipment
Must wear required PPE and comply with all company safety policies
Work Environment
Fast-paced industrial manufacturing facility
Exposure to production machinery, forklifts, industrial equipment, noise, and moving mechanical parts
