The Production Group Leader oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure production orders are completed on time, accurately, and to quality standards. This position leads production teams, improves processes, supports workforce development, and drives operational efficiency within the facility.

Description
This Production Lead will be responsible for:
- Determining production schedules based on customer and departmental requirements
- Communicating production needs with planning and other manufacturing departments
- Training team members and ensuring production orders are properly closed out
- Ensuring production orders are accurately confirmed and logged within systems
- Interviewing candidates and supporting hiring decisions
- Documenting machine setups, fixturing requirements, and work instructions
- Conducting on-the-job training and reinforcing quality expectations
- Auditing quality control records and inspection processes
- Ensuring work-in-progress materials are properly identified and tracked
- Auditing production order confirmations for accuracy
- Coordinating improvement projects with production schedules
Profile
A Successful Production Lead will have:
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of production or manufacturing experience
- 4+ years of supervisory experience
- 4+ years of manufacturing shop floor experience
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and operational procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems; SAP preferred
- Lean, Six Sigma, CPIM, CSCP, or similar certifications preferred
