Job Duties

• Lead and coordinate daily carbon fiber/composite production activities to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
• Assign daily tasks and provide direction to production associates based on workload and priorities.
• Train and mentor employees on carbon fiber layup, vacuum bagging, bonding, trimming, sanding, finishing, and other composite manufacturing processes.
• Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to established procedures.
• Ensure aerospace components are manufactured according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Perform and oversee preparation of molds, materials, resins, adhesives, and tooling used in composite manufacturing.
• Inspect in-process and completed carbon fiber components for wrinkles, voids, delamination, dimensional issues, surface defects, and other nonconformances.
• Verify production travelers, work orders, material documentation, and required manufacturing records are completed accurately.
• Troubleshoot production issues and escalate quality, equipment, or material concerns to supervisors, engineering, or Quality as needed.

What You Will Do

As a Production Lead you will support daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting finished goods, packaging materials, maintaining production standards, and following established work instructions. You will help keep production areas clean and organized, monitor product quality, meet production goals, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
