Production Kitting & Traceability Technician

About the Role

Join Urban Sky as an on-site, full-time, hourly technician who keeps production flowing. As our Production Kitting & Traceability Technician, you’ll build and verify kits, stage hardware, and safeguard material accuracy so assemblies and subassemblies move through the line on time and to spec.

A Day in the Life

You start by reviewing the day’s work instructions and BOMs, then prep parts and fasteners for multiple builds. You verify lot and serial numbers, organize components into kits, and document everything in our quality system. As builds progress, you inspect for completeness and compliance before handoff, support batch runs, and help the team meet schedule commitments. When the printer queue opens, you set up and launch 3D print jobs, monitor quality, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and complete post-print finishing so parts are ready for assembly.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble production kits and hardware directly from work instructions, BOMs, and manufacturing requirements.
• Own material traceability: record lots/serials, maintain clear documentation, and ensure audit-ready accuracy.
• Inspect hardware for quality and completion before release to downstream operations.
• Keep documentation current in alignment with company quality systems.
• Hit delivery targets and maintain throughput to support the production schedule.
• Partner with cross-functional teammates to remove blockers and solve problems quickly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with batch builds and high-volume production when demand spikes.
• Operate and support 3D printing: prepare printers, start jobs, monitor print quality, troubleshoot, and perform post-print finishing.

Required Qualifications

• Must be within commuting distance of Denver, CO and able to work on site.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License.
• Thrives in a small, collaborative team environment.
• Strong organization; able to prioritize against shifting production needs.
• Can read/follow work instructions, BOMs, and quality documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Comfortable with hands-on, repetitive manufacturing tasks.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; sit/stand and perform assembly work for up to 12 hours per shift.
• Available for variable day shifts (8–12 hours), Monday–Friday, with frequent schedule changes typical of a startup.
• Willing to work required overtime, typically 30–40% of hours annually.

Nice to Have

• Background in aerospace, manufacturing, production, assembly, or similar hands-on technical work.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems.
• Experience in a startup or other fast-paced manufacturing setting.
