Job Title: Machinist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain precision machinery in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, working with various metal materials, and using tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment to produce high-quality parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines to produce precision parts.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve machining problems.
Record production and inspection data accurately.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
Proven experience as a machinist or in a similar role.
Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Knowledge of metal properties and machining techniques.
Familiarity with CNC programming is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
