    Job Overview:

    Production Floor Supervisor 

     

    Front-line people leader responsible for multiple cells/lines within a shift. Ensures a safe workplace, product quality, on-time delivery, and efficient use of labor and equipment. Coaches team leads and technicians, manages daily tier accountability, and coordinates with cross-functional partners. May be assigned to a specific Premier PV product line (e.g., PV eBOS equipment, PV harness & electrical assemblies, or structural/mechanical components).

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Own daily safety, quality, delivery, and cost results for assigned area; lead tier-1/2 meetings and Gemba walks. 

    • Plan labor, assign work, approve time, and manage attendance/performance within company policies. 

    • Ensure adherence to SOPs, standard work, and regulatory/industry standards as applicable. 

    • Drive throughput and OEE; manage changeovers, downtime responses, and escalation to Maintenance/Engineering. 

    • Partner with Planning, Warehouse, and Quality to maintain material availability and resolve nonconformances. 

    • Develop team capabilities through coaching, feedback, and skills certification; maintain training matrices. 

    • Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions; track results. 

    • Sustain 5S, visual controls, and audit readiness; support internal/external audits. 

     

    Qualifications: 

    • 7+ years total manufacturing experience with 2+ in a formal lead/supervisor role. 

    • Proven knowledge of lean manufacturing, daily management, and KPI tracking. 

    • Experience with ERP/MRP transactions and production reporting. 

    • Strong communication and people leadership skills across shifts. 

     

    Skills & Competencies: 

    • Coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution. 

    • Structured problem solving and change management. 

    • Decision-making under time pressure; collaboration with cross-functional partners. 

     

    Preferred Certifications: 

    • OSHA 30 (preferred). 

    • Lean practitioner or Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt (preferred). 

     

    Work Environment: 

    • Factory/production floor environment with standard PPE and ESD controls as applicable. Standing/walking required; occasional lifting per safe practices.
