POSITION SUMMARY
To provide overall general support, minor maintenance, and maintain the shop cleanliness and organization of Wirco Avilla three facilities. Complete tasks, projects and other duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operate forklift to move and organize pallets inside and outside of facilities.
· Gather and remove trash from inside of the facilities to the outside dumpsters. Keep debris from being on the floors inside and picked up off of the grounds outside.
· Sweep floors and use the floor scrubber when appropriate at the various facilities.
· Burn pallets in the outside wood furnace, as necessary.
· ‘Wipe down’ to clean walls, man-doors, overhead doors and windows to maintain
· Help in shipping. Building skids, banding product to skids, etc.
· Other tasks and duties as assigned.
· Maintain compliance with all work rules (productivity, conduct, safety, etc.).
· Load and Unload trucks, as needed (forklift).
· Receive and inspect product.
JOB IMPACT
The General Labor position has a direct and significant impact on the day-to-day operations of the three facilities and maintenance thereof. A primary focus of the General Labor position is the value creation made possible by overall organization and cleanliness of the facilities. This requires the alignment of organization and overall pride in the work. While the value creation for an organization involves a network of relationships between internal and possible external environments, the organization and general housekeeping plays an important role in improving the overall value chain of an organization.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Previous experience in General Labor a plus.
DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
- Must have valid drivers’ license
- Able to follow oral instructions promptly and accurately.
- Must be able to listen attentively and use speaking skills to ask questions or to clarify tasks.
- Must be able to organize materials by numbers to keep facilities neat and organized.
- Ability to work as an effective team member.
- Able to prioritize tasks and follow through to completion.
- Time Management is a must in organizing work and finishing tasks on schedule.
- Previous experience in general Labor duties preferred.

- Regularly required to walk, bend, stoop, squat, climbing, throwing and reach with hands and arms.
- Able to lift 40 – 50 pounds as required.
- Manual dexterity to use tools and equipment utilized in keeping the facilities clean and organized.
- Physical strength to lift pallets, trash containers and such.
