    Description

    Our client is a manufacturing company seeking a Production Expediter to join their operations team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in production control, purchasing, and inventory management to help keep materials and work orders moving efficiently through the shop floor. This role plays a key part in resolving production delays and supporting on-time customer deliveries.

    Job Responsibilities-

    - Track and expedite work orders and routers to keep production schedules on target.

    - Drive higher rates of on-time production readiness by proactively coordinating scheduled work.

    - Identify and resolve material shortages, delays, and bottlenecks before they impact production.

    - Support ongoing efforts to strengthen inventory accuracy across materials and finished goods.

    - Communicate proactively and escalate production issues promptly to keep stakeholders informed.

    - Partner with manufacturing, planning, purchasing, and warehouse teams to help resolve material shortages, meet production completion dates, and hit customer shipment deadlines.

    - Coordinate production routing, bills of material, and work instructions to support accurate material and inventory flow.





    Job Requirements -

    - 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, including production control, materials planning, purchasing, inventory, warehouse operations, or production expediting.

    -Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, welding, fabrication, laser cutting, sheet metal work, and mechanical assembly.

    -Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, bills of material, work orders, and manufacturing documentation.

    -Experience with ERP/MRP systems for managing inventory, material flow, and production data.

    - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data tracking, basic formulas, and reporting.

    - Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

    - Associate degree (AA/AS) in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    - Experience with Infor XA, SAP, or comparable ERP platforms.
