Production Engineer – Chemical
Location: Onsite – South West of Baton Rouge, LA (West Side of the Mississippi River)
Compensation: $110,000-131,250

GreenValley Search is seeking a skilled production engineer on behalf of a global leader in chemical manufacturing. This is an opportunity to join a high-performance team at a modern chemical production facility.
You’ll be in the plant, owning key production processes, identifying bottlenecks, improving system efficiency, and driving technical excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, knows how to work cross-functionally, and brings a hands-on mindset to operational problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and improve daily production metrics
- Troubleshoot plant operations and drive sustainable solutions
- Lead safety initiatives and conduct behavior-based audits
- Maintain compliance with ISO, PSM, and environmental standards
- Develop and manage SOPs and operational documentation
- Collaborate across production, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Reduce waste, improve yields, and enhance on-stream time
- Train and mentor hourly and salaried operations staff
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 3+ years of production or process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing
- Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills
- Familiarity with PSM, ISO9001, and Lean/5S methodologies
- Bonus: experience with plant startups, powder or polymer processing, or site commissioning
