Description

Major Responsibilities:

Paper Machine Operating

• Align to company's Safe Policies and Procedures
• Assist specialty paper machine start-up and shut-down
• Assist in master roll transfer, slitting and rewinding operations
• Assist in recovery from process upsets including housekeeping and basic maintenance duties
• Gain operational proficiency in forklift operation, weighing operations, overhead hoist use and baling equipment

Stock and Resin Preparation

• Assists in the material handlers to weigh, stage and load raw materials
• Supports company's sustainability efforts to allocate waste into proper waste streams

Material Finishing

• Assist with basic tasks associated with packaging finished goods in the converting area
• Read and understand the labeling packaging specifications for slit rolls

Stages materials, operates the packaging and material handling equipment.

Profile

A successful Production Coordinator should have:

• Exposure working in manufacturing in a nice to have
• Motivated worker, willing to wear multiple hats
• Local to Saratoga Springs, NY
• Physical requirements include lifting 50 lbs, extended periods of standing, walking, working; variable customer demand, shift work including working weekends per shift rotation schedule.
