This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill 1 vacancy for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Parks and Recreation department. The eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification, for up to one hundred eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the eligibility list.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
THE ROLE
Under general supervision, specialized technical duties related to the staging of events and performances at various venues. Supervises part-time staff activities involving maintenance of facilities, equipment, and event staging. Executes specialized technical production duties focused on rigging, sound, and lighting to support successful events and performances. Performs related duties as assigned.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have professional experience in event production, technical theater, or a related field, with demonstrated experience coordinating and supporting large-scale events, performances, or recreational programs. The successful candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, rigging, staging, and other technical production equipment, including the ability to safely operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and oversee the use of such equipment during live events.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to develop production plans, coordinate event logistics, assess technical and site requirements, and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the position requires collaboration with internal staff, vendors, performers, and facility personnel.
Candidates should also have experience providing direction, training, or supervision to staff and demonstrate sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with safety requirements, OSHA standards, technical specifications, equipment inventory, budget management, and event production documentation is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be a dependable and collaborative professional who can balance hands-on technical responsibilities with administrative and supervisory duties while ensuring productions are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Pre-Employment Screening - Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
Selection/Offers
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
