Description

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing manufacturing operation in the Indianapolis area, for an organized and detail-driven Production Coordinator. In this role you will be the connective tissue between the shop floor, scheduling, and leadership, making sure jobs move through the plant on time, materials are where they need to be, and every department is working from the same playbook.

Day to day, you will spend your time juggling production schedules, checking in with supervisors, tracking materials and work orders, and flagging problems before they turn into delays. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily production schedules across multiple lines and shifts
  • Track work orders from release through completion and update status in the production system
  • Communicate with supervisors and floor leads to resolve scheduling conflicts and material shortages
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and components needed for production runs
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management
  • Coordinate with purchasing and shipping teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods
  • Assist in identifying and resolving bottlenecks that impact production timelines
  • Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation for quality and compliance purposes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing downtime
  • Attend daily production meetings and relay updates between departments

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree in business or operations preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or scheduling coordination role
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and production or ERP software
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating across departments
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, bills of materials, and production schedules
  • Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor as needed
