Production Coordinator

The Role:

The Production Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the daily production demands are met. In addition, this individual will be responsible for the administrative functions required to keep the department running smoothly. The Production Coordinator will help utilize labor resources by coordinating down-time activities and staying on top of special requests and rework. This is a new position in the department which will evolve as the business grows so the individual must be adaptable and willing to learn and take on new challenges.

What You Will Do:

  • Monitor and drive schedule adherence across the production areas
  • Keep training matrix up to date for all production employees
  • Maintain proper staffing levels by coordinating with temp staffing agencies
  • Track time and attendance for production staff
  • Train permanent and temporary employees on safety, quality and performance expectations
  • Perform verification checks of quality paperwork
  • Ensure special requests, samples and qc rework items are addressed timely
  • Data entry of daily down time and efficiency logs
  • Verify production entries are accurate and timely
  • Manage the safety shoe and uniform programs
  • Participate in Safety and Quality investigations
  • Participate in Improvement Initiatives

What You Will Bring:

  • Must have good listening and interpersonal communications skills
  • Must be able to effectively drive production team to meet the departmental expectations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
