Description

The School District of the Menomonie Area is seeking a Production Cook at Menomonie High School. The position will begin on August 19, 2026, or as close to that date as possible, with a starting wage of $19.59 per hour. This is an 8-hour per day, 183 days per year position with additional hours in the summer and occasional evening catering events. The work hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. and the position offers limited benefits. Wages, hours and conditions of employment are in accordance with the School District of the Menomonie Area Employee Handbook.

The High School Production Cook performs a variety of job functions essential to the successful operation of the school nutrition program. The job functions include, but are not limited to; from-scratch cooking, assisting with ordering food and supplies, washing dishes, serving, cleaning, inventory control, maintaining a safe and secure environment; customer service; adhering to program regulations and accountability; marketing; equipment use and care; and professional excellence.

Other essential functions of the position include maintaining accurate production records, assisting with the catering program, staff coverage at all sites as necessary, following established guidelines found in the Food Safety and HACCP plan, and interacting with students, staff, and community in a courteous, professional manner.

This position works in partnership with the Nutrition Director, Nutrition Assistant, Production Manager and school nutrition workers to support a sound school nutrition program, following federal, state and local guidelines. The school nutrition program is to provide an environment that supports healthy food habits while maintaining program integrity and customer satisfaction. Maintaining ServSafe certification is a requirement of the position. This position will remain open until filled with ongoing review of application. EOE.
