Philo Road, Charlotte, Vermont, 05445 Job Description: Baker Title: Baker Department: Culinary Type: Full-time, Non-exempt, Hourly Report: Culinary Management Location: Philo Ridge Farm, Charlotte, Vermont About Philo Ridge Farm Our culinary program moves with Vermont's seasons, activating multiple dining experiences and kitchen spaces throughout the year. In winter, service draws inward for a more intimate expression of the season; in summer, it expands outdoors, taking full advantage of Vermont's long days, abundant harvests, and natural beauty. Each space supports a distinct part of the culinary program. Our upstairs fine-dining kitchen is centered around a French cooking suite, while a wood-fired oven serves as the heart of our outdoor dining experience. A custom outdoor kitchen supports seasonal service, and our full production kitchen acts as the operational backbone of the program: the place where ingredients are received, processed, preserved, and prepared for our fine-dining, lunch, brunch, and outdoor menus. Our culinary team also includes an in-house butchery department and dedicated baking and pastry programs. Across these spaces, the kitchen transforms ingredients with creativity, precision, and a deep respect for the seasons. Our culinary and farm teams work in close partnership throughout the year: harvests help shape the menus, while conversations with the kitchen inform future planting, growing, and livestock production. In summer, dishes celebrate ingredients at their peak with minimal intervention; in winter, the kitchen turns to slower cooking methods and a robust preservation pantry for tastes of seasonal brightness. We source most of our ingredients from our farm. When an ingredient cannot be sourced from the farm or our kitchen's stores, we look to farmers and producers throughout the Champlain Valley, extending our commitment to a strong and resilient regional food system.
