Position Overview
Fusion HCR is looking for a Production Control Specialist to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will spend much of the day on the production floor, staying connected to current production activity and helping the Operations team quickly recognize and address anything that could impact the daily plan.This person will keep a close eye on assigned equipment and manufacturing areas, gather information when production falls behind, and communicate what is happening to plant leadership. The role requires someone who is comfortable being out on the floor, asking questions, following up with different teams, and making sure open issues don’t get lost.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Stay actively engaged on the manufacturing floor and become familiar with assigned equipment and production areas.
• Compare current production activity against the daily plan and flag potential delays.
• Gather information when production is not progressing as expected and communicate findings to Operations leadership.
• Help identify what is driving delays, including equipment downtime, staffing, material availability, quality concerns, or process-related issues.
• Work with plant and operations leadership to determine next steps when production falls behind.
• Keep track of open production issues and follow up with the appropriate teams until actions are completed.
• Provide regular updates regarding production status, priorities, potential concerns, and recovery progress.
• Help teams understand which production needs require immediate attention.
• Recognize repeated issues or patterns that may be affecting manufacturing performance.
• Keep production trackers, reports, and other documentation current and accurate.
• Communicate important production information between departments and across shifts.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience working in manufacturing, production, operations, or another fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain what is happening on the production floor.
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Comfortable managing several priorities at the same time.
• Able to take ownership of assignments and work with limited supervision.
• Comfortable raising concerns to leadership when additional attention or support is needed.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both production employees and management.
• Comfortable spending the majority of the workday standing, walking, and moving throughout a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to follow required plant safety procedures and PPE guidelines.

Preferred Background

• Associate degree or related education.
• Two or more years of experience in manufacturing, production coordination, scheduling, planning, or operations.
• Exposure to manufacturing systems, production reporting, scheduling, or performance tracking.
