Tesla is seeking a Production Control Manager to own material flow strategy, inventory accuracy, and multi-crew leadership across solar manufacturing operations. You will help deploy 100GW of solar manufacturing from raw materials. This role leads Associate Managers and supervisors covering 24/7 operations-setting standards for material handling, inventory control, spare parts and staging strategy, safety, and team capability while partnering with Sustaining Engineering and operations leadership. As Production Control Manager, you will lead efforts to receive, store, and supply materials efficiently, maintaining inventory accuracy to support lean manufacturing, uninterrupted production, and audit compliance. You will manage a team of associate managers, supervisors, and material handling associates while collaborating cross-functionally with IT, Logistics, Material Planning, Finance, Quality, and Facilities to resolve complex challenges and system constraints affecting productivity. This function is vital to Tesla s manufacturing expansion, and we are seeking a disciplined leader to optimize material handling with rigor, ensuring availability for daily production volumes while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Manage all aspects of daily operations for material and returnable flow across inbound and outbound operations
Govern and ensure core KPI targets are met in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Delivery, while strictly managing material flow processes to sustain inventory system accuracy
Ensure on-time, accurate delivery of parts and material to the manufacturing lines and outbound shipping to customers through robust mechanisms and standard work adherence
Lead efforts to optimize space and manpower while ensuring downstream customer satisfaction
Assertively solve daily problems by applying Tesla s problem-solving methodology
Maintain a culture of cost reduction and continuous learning through daily communication and support
Conduct daily safety and process audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols, compliance with standard work, and that all needed equipment is present and operational
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of related manufacturing experience in a high-volume manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience with process improvement methodologies to optimize efficiency and throughput
Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing demands, and meet tight deadlines
In-depth understanding of mechanical and standardized processes
A powerful sense of urgency and commitment to deliver material on time
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
