Job Title: Production Chemist
Pay: $33.00 per hour
Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday

As a Production Chemist, your role will be centered around formulating biological and chemical products to meet strict specifications. You will work with a dedicated team to ensure smooth production operations, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement efforts.

What You'll Do
As a production chemist, you will be responsible for:

  • Formulating bulk products and intermediates according to approved procedures and standards
  • Performing data entry and inventory management within the ERP system
  • Maintaining accurate production documentation and quality records to GDP/GMP standards
  • Coordinating, prioritizing, and planning lab tasks to meet deadlines
  • Monitoring manufacturing processes and making necessary adjustments to optimize yields
  • Spiking raw materials into product pools using pipetting, measuring, or bulk addition methods
  • Cleaning and maintaining glassware, tanks, and laboratory equipment
  • Setting up and breaking down laboratory equipment as needed
  • Completing batch records, equipment logs, and other documentation
  • Filtration of products in controlled environments such as cleanroom hoods
  • Working with hazardous chemicals, including acids, bases, biological materials, and biohazards
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related life science field
  • 0-3 years of experience in manufacturing, formulation, or laboratory settings in biological or life sciences
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle hazardous materials responsibly
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with GMP, GDP, and GLP practices
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word
  • Understanding of laboratory environments and equipment
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods (4-6 hours or more)
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed, often with short notice
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience working with large volumes of biological samples (e.g., blood, urine, serum)
  • Ability to work in wet environments, including cold rooms (2-8°C) and walk-in freezers
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 25 lbs of raw materials
