Why do we need you ?

The Production Bonding Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of production Bonding and Cap Assembly machinery to produce quality products within specifications and according to customer requirements.

This Operator has mastered the skills to run both manual and automated Bonding equipment and processes including, but not limited to welding, punch, glue and white room procedures. He/she is considered an expert resource on these processes and will actively participate in area WCM and 5S projects and be a training resource as needed.

As with all positions at SGPPL Poestenkill, this employee will follow all work practices, policies and procedures keep the facility in compliance with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Standards as well as maintain standard 5S protocols. Compliance with all site EHS policies and safe work habits are mandated at all times.

The Poestenkill, NY manufacturing site is part of Saint-Gobain's Life Sciences Business Unit providing fluid transfer solutions for medical devices, closure systems, analytical equipment and bioprocesses. LabPure, CHEMWARE, VERSILIC and other products are manufactured at the Poestenkill plant See us at http://www.labpure.com.

Essential Functions

• Expertly operate all bonding machines and processes, including manual and automated welding, press fit, glue, and clean room equipment, in accordance with manufacturing instructions, customer specifications, and quality and safety guidelines (60%)
• Accurately complete all required quality, inventory, and manufacturing documentation
• Ensure smooth shift handoffs by clearly communicating instructions, issues, and problems using current WCM standards
• Perform basic in‑process quality inspections following established quality procedures and guidelines (10%)
• Serve as a training resource for new and entry‑level operators as needed (10%)
• Support and comply with all SG PONY EHS and 5S program requirements (10%)
• Assist in other manufacturing areas as business needs and time allow (10%)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Licenses and Certifications

• No licenses or certifications required

Work Experience

• Prior manufacturing and assembly experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a manufacturing environment preferred

The local pay range for this position is $18.90 to $25.20 per hour, plus a $1.00/hour shift premium. Actual pay may vary based on location, internal equity, and qualifications.

This is a 2nd shift role: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM.

This position is also eligible for periodic or annual bonuses, with a target up to 10% of hourly pay based on company and individual performance. Total annual target cash (base pay plus bonus, annualized at 40 hrs/week) is approximately $1,000-$10,000. Bonus amounts vary and are not guaranteed.
