Job Summary
A leading fresh produce distribution company in Hartford, CT is seeking dependable warehouse workers to grade product quality and prepare items for shipment. This is a full-time, hands-on role in a temperature-controlled cooler environment (45 55 F).
Location: 105 Reserve Rd, Hartford, CT 06114
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (employees expected to remain until assigned work is completed)
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Travel: None required
Contract Duration: Ongoing assignment; multiple positions available (4 openings)
Compensation: Competitive rate
Key Responsibilities
- Grade products for quality control and repack cases into smaller increments
- Assemble boxes, apply labels, and stack/stock packages for shipment
- Clean and sanitize work area in accordance with sanitation and safety procedures
- Follow Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards for handling and production
- Maintain consistent productivity throughout shift
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain an acceptable productivity level
- Steel toe or composite toe boots (ankle-covering) required starting Day 1
- Willingness to work in a cooler environment (45 55 F)
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Prior warehouse, food production, or quality control experience a plus (not required)
