    Description

    This position is responsible for supporting the efficient movement of materials, products, and mail throughout the organization. The successful candidate performs a combination of transportation, warehouse, shipping and receiving, inventory handling, and mail processing duties. They will ensure products and mail are moved safely, accurately, and on schedule while maintaining an organized warehouse and supporting production operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Operate a company box truck to transport productl and materials between company locations and the Destination facility. Ensure timely and accurate delivery and pickup of mail in accordance with established schedules. Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and other material handling equipment. Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders. Move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the warehouse and production areas. Operate a powered industrial forklift to transport materials and place inventory into warehouse racking. Retrieve inventory from storage locations to support production and shipping requirements. Maintain organized warehouse storage areas and ensure inventory is properly staged and stored. Sort, organize, and prepare mail for production within the Bindery department. Assist with movement of completed jobs between departments as needed. Perform routine warehouse housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Conduct daily inspections of assigned equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and forklift operating guidelines. Assist other operations departments as workload requires. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred. Previous forklift experience required; forklift certification preferred or ability to become certified. Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record required. Experience driving a box truck preferred. Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment. Basic computer skills for receiving, inventory, or shipping documentation preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Physical Requirements

    Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and lift throughout the workday. Safely operate a forklift and company box truck. Work in warehouse, production, loading dock, and outdoor environments. Ability to climb on and off delivery vehicles and forklifts repeatedly throughout the day.

    Work Environment

    Manufacturing and warehouse environment. Exposure to warehouse equipment, loading docks, varying temperatures, and production machinery. Regular interaction with production, shipping, warehouse, and bindery personnel.
